Before your tan it is important to shower and exfoliate the skin with a non-oil based product or luffa.
You will also want to wax or shave 24 hours prior.
Do not put on any lotions, perfumes, deodorants or foundations.
After your tan be sure to put on darker, loose fitting clothing. This is to prevent the cosmetic bronzer from rubbing off on your clothing, although it can be easily washed out of fabrics (not including nylon, wool, silk and satin)
Avoid water and sweating as much as possible for the first 8 hours after your tan.
During your first shower some color will wash off, this is nothing to worry about it is just the cosmetic bronzer, not your actual tan.
Use mild body wash instead of harsh bar soaps.
Air dry or gently pat skin to dry.
Moisturize daily and be sure to use SPF, your spray tan does not protect against the sun!
Is spray tanning safe?
